Deck Assistant Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies only to the Deck Assistant Chrome extension published by Taplands and Taverns. It does not apply to the Taplands and Taverns website (taplandsandtaverns.com) or to third-party sites the extension interacts with.

The extension handles information needed to assist with Commander deck building. That includes:

• Website content from pages you open on moxfield.com, edhrec.com, and gatherer.wizards.com. Examples include deck names, card names and lists, recommendation or combo text used for comparison, and form fields you ask the extension to fill.
• Local settings and workflow state stored on your device with chrome.storage.local. Examples include captured decks, pending adds and cuts, card labels, history or checkpoints, land-optimizer settings, and cached Scryfall card metadata.
• Optional Scryfall lookups: card names and related identifiers needed for lookup, sent over HTTPS to api.scryfall.com so the extension can fetch public card metadata for the land optimizer and Gatherer color-identity suggestions. Responses are JSON metadata only, not remote code.

We use the information above only for the extension’s single purpose: helping you build and refine Commander decks. That includes:

• Capturing the visible Commander deck list from a Moxfield page you open
• Comparing with EDHREC recommendations and combos on pages you open
• Marking adds and cuts, including on Gatherer
• Optionally optimizing mana base and lands using Scryfall card metadata
• Helping export or apply reviewed changes into Moxfield Bulk Edit when you ask

The extension does not log you into Moxfield, EDHREC, or Gatherer. It does not scrape those sites in bulk. It only reads pages in the current tab and user-triggered flows.

Captured decks, pending changes, settings, history, and cached card metadata stay on your device in Chrome extension storage. Taplands does not operate a backend that receives your deck lists or browsing data from this extension.

The only third-party network call used for extension features is Scryfall (api.scryfall.com), for public card metadata needed by the product’s single purpose. Requests use HTTPS.

Scryfall may process those requests under Scryfall’s own terms and privacy policy. See Scryfall’s Privacy and Security page.

Taplands does not collect the following through this extension:

• Name, email, address, age, or other personal identifiers
• Health, financial, authentication, passwords, cookies, or credentials
• Personal communications
• GPS or intentional location tracking
• General browsing history outside moxfield.com, edhrec.com, and gatherer.wizards.com
• Keystroke logging, mouse tracking, or analytics-style activity monitoring for ads or monetization

Taplands also does not:

• Sell user data
• Use extension data for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending
• Load remote executable code (extension JavaScript is packaged with the extension)

Host permissions are limited to the sites listed above plus api.scryfall.com.

Local data remains on your device until you clear extension storage, reset the extension, or uninstall it.

To remove data, uninstall the extension or clear site and extension storage in Chrome. Uninstalling removes the extension and its local storage on your device.

Deck Assistant is not directed at children under 13. It is aimed at a general Magic: The Gathering audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this extension.

We may update this policy if the extension’s data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when that happens. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
